Windows 11 - Snipping tool

I’ll admit it, I love the Snipping Tool in Windows 11. It’s underrated. And I’ve heard it’s about to get even better…

One of its newest AI-powered features, OCR (optical character recognition), lets you take text directly from images. And it may soon have its own keyboard shortcut – “Windows Key + Shift + T”.

This shortcut would be great for quickly pulling text from screenshots, making it a powerful productivity tool for businesses.

Imagine capturing important information, like data from reports or client emails, without having to type it all out. What a time-saver!

Currently, to use OCR in the Snipping Tool, you have to take a few different steps. With the shortcut, it would be as easy as quickly hitting a few keys.

While the keyboard shortcut is still in testing, it’s clear to see how Microsoft are making everyday tasks simpler with smart AI integration in Windows 11.

If you want to see some of the other ways Windows 11 can make things easier in your business, my team can show you. Get in touch.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for when this feature officially rolls out. Will you?
