Heads up: LinkedIn might be using your data to train Microsoft’s AI models.
They recently rolled out a feature called "Data for Generative AI Improvement," which allows AI models to watch your LinkedIn activity and learn from it.
And here’s the kicker: It’s turned ON by default. This means your posts, comments, and other interactions could be feeding AI systems without you even knowing.
The feature raises some important questions about data privacy. LinkedIn claims that it limits the use of personal data and only shares information with companies owned by Microsoft. But you still might want more control over how your data is used.
Luckily, you can opt out if you want to. Just go to your LinkedIn settings, click Data Privacy, and turn off Data for Generative AI Improvement.
It’s important to be aware of how your data is being used, especially in the age of AI. Tell me, do you and your team already check for settings like this?
