Microsoft has just launched a new Windows app designed to make remote work more flexible.
The app allows you to stream a copy of Windows from various sources, like Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Remote Desktop. It works as a hub that lets you access Windows from almost anywhere – and you can use it on a Mac, iPhone, iPad, web browser, Android device, or even another Windows PC.
The new app has been in testing for nearly a year and comes with some great features, such as a customizable home screen, multi-monitor support, and USB redirection. This means you can use local devices like webcams, storage drives and printers as if they were connected directly to your remote PC.
It's going to be really useful for businesses that need their team to access their work computers from home or on the go.
The app is currently limited to Microsoft work and school accounts, with a focus on making remote work more efficient for companies that already use their Remote Desktop services.
If your business relies on remote access to Windows PCs, this new app could be a game-changer. It’s available now in the Microsoft Store, as well as in the App Store for Apple devices. And the Android version is in public preview.
Will you be downloading it for your team?
